In preparation for the upcoming summer, the following items are "must-haves" for the 2026 season.

• Swim Suit - The suit should be black, green or a combination in order to match our team colors.  Swimmers are not expected to wear one specific team suit for meets.  There are many options available on our Swim Outlet team store, including our 'unofficial team suit'.  You may also search through the full Swim Outlet store (or your favorite swimming vendor) for other options for both meets/racing and practice purposes.  Unsure about size? Look for email announcements about fitting dates to try on sample suits.
• Swim Cap - We would like to see swimmers wearing the black cap with green 'W' at meets.  However, a plain black cap is fine.  Per League rules, swimmers may not wear a cap with a different team logo during any competition.  Woodridge logos or plain are required in these cases.  Swimmers may wear their cap of choice during practices.  There are many fun practice caps available by searching the general Swim Outlet store, or the myriad of other online retailers.
• Goggles - These are an area of personal preference based on fit, style, color, etc.  If you're new to competitive swimming, many athletes prefer mirrored goggles for outdoor training/competing since they cut down on the glare associated with bright sunshine.
• Fins - New to Woodridge this summer, coaches will be utilizing a variety of fin-based drills this season to further enhance swimmer development.  Almost everyone on the team will be best served with the Floating Fin option (longer blade) on Swim Outlet.  The Training Fin (shorter blade) would be reserved for our most advanced swimmers.  We have many families with fins their swimmers have outgrown.  We will try to arrange a "Fin Swap Day" very early on if you want to wait until them to see if you can find something there.

In the "nice-to-have" category, we have also made some other items available for quick-shopping purposes.

• Backpacks - These bags provide quick & easy organization to tote your towel(s), googles, caps, etc., to and from practices and meets.  The 45L size is a more "full-sized" bag.  Smaller sizes (35L on down) work well for younger swimmers.  We offer a convenient option with Woodridge Swim Team embroidery, but feel free to show your personality by shopping the full Swim Outlet store (or other vendors) for many different color/style options.
• Parkas - For chilly mornings, cooler weather, or winter practice/meet trips between the car and pool, these can be handy to keep warm.  You can find them both plain and customized with your name and/or Woodridge logo based on your preference.
